Founded late 2020, we are currently in production on 22 hours of content for various broadcasters.

Red Sauce makes smart, inventive and entertaining popular factual and factual entertainment TV for digital-first, binge-factual and linear audiences.

Led by award-winning programme maker and former BBC commissioner, Tom Edwards, we create content from bases in London and Manchester.

Red Sauce is part of the multi-award winning and globally-focused UK factual powerhouse Zinc Media Group.

The Team

Tom Edwards | Creative Director

Tom oversees development and production at Red Sauce.

Prior to founding the label, he was a commissioning editor for primetime BBC1, 2 and 3 with 250+ hours of programmes including Eat Well for Less, Hugh’s War on Waste, The House That 100K Built and The Millionaire’s Holiday Club.

As an award-winning programme-maker he was responsible for singles and series ranging from Mary Queen of Shops and The Undercover Princes to Wife Swap and Big Brother.

His preferred accompaniment to Red Sauce is a fried egg barm.

Ben Smith | Executive Producer

Ben is across all of Red Sauce's Manchester-based development and production.

His 20 years in the industry have all been northern-based, overseeing many series and formats from initial development to commission through to final delivery for the BBC, ITV, Discovery, Quibi and Netflix. 

As a producer he's made singles and series such as Idris Elba: No Limits, Building Paradise, Big NHS Singalong Live and Elba vs Block.

He'll eat and watch anything & everything - as long as it comes with liberal helpings of Cholula Hot Sauce.

Sefunmi Olatunbosun | Senior Development Producer

Fumi manages the development slate – originating ideas with the development team, writing decks and pitching ideas.

His smorgasbord of development and production credits across unscripted includes Masterchef, Travelman, Educating Joey Essex and the BAFTA-winning The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan, for indies such as Expectation, Dragonfly and Viacom.

On Sundays he can be found eating porridge with salted caramel sauce and blueberries and watching Homes Under the Hammer.

Dominic de Terville | Director of Branded Content

Dominic leads the Branded Content Division, working with smart brands to develop partnerships with Red Sauce TV productions.

He's developed branded entertainment TV and digital content for brands like Nike, Panasonic, Domino’s, Vodafone and Castrol in a number of roles including Sponsorship & Funded Content Controller for Sky, Head of Brand Partnerships for Zodiak Media (now part of Banijay) and Head of Sponsorship & Events for the Evening Standard and The Independent.

He likes his Red Sauce in a Patty & Bun burger.

Lucy Underwood | Production Executive

Lucy steers projects from development through production to final delivery.

Her 15+ years production experience includes documentaries, factual, live studio, fast turnaround and high volume daytime, delivering shows from Heir Hunters through Sarah Beeny's Selling Houses to Police Code Zero for UK and global broadcasters. 

Andrew McKerlie | Director of Operations & Business Affairs

Andrew is responsible for all legal, business affairs, commercial deals and distribution.

He joined Zinc Media in 2004 and has since worked on output for all the major UK channels as well as numerous global broadcasters and platforms.

Previously he was a Production Executive at the BBC, managing various areas in the Documentaries and Specialist Factual departments over a period of 9 years.
